Sun-Saturn Opposition on Sept 20, 2025
We are nearing the 2nd eclipse of the season. And to celebrate, the Sun and Saturn will be in opposition on Sept 20th at 28˚30’ Virgo/Pisces.
This opposition (along with the eclipse on the 21st and the Sun-Neptune opposition on the 23rd) forms a Kite Pattern with Saturn/Neptune as the “focal point”. In this case on the 20th, Saturn is taking the lead focus of this aspect pattern.
These oppositions will ignite the ongoing Saturn-Neptune conjunction period. These themes of Saturn and Neptune carry on throughout the rest of the year and through March 2026.
For this specific Sun-Saturn opposition, we are tuning into the limits of our life that have been placed upon us by both ourselves and outside of us. With Saturn in Pisces, our natural empathic abilities may be tested in a practical manner, especially if we are in a personal Saturn initiation (cycle/transit). We can also discover where and how we can be of service to those in need of support and that which is aligned with us.
In the world, this period of Sept 20-26 is intense. We already saw the power of the center of the eclipse season back on Sept 10 (Sun-South Node conj) and the reactive forces the ended up creating further divisiveness. This moment in time is truly highlighting the need to let go of the control the wounds have upon us and that unconsciously project upon the world, creating more difficulty for all of humanity.
The Virgo-Pisces polarity is about sacred service, but also noticing where to true needs are in the world and to show up in our deeper truth. Saturn is also about our responsibilities to ourselves and society as a collective while owning up to where, when and why we stumble and fall. And also where we need help, love and support.
In addition, Saturn reminds us of the immense need to be accountable for our words and actions. The absence of which only feeds an inevitable blow-up of reactive forces within an individual and on a greater level in humanity.
