On Feb 17, a ring of the Sun will appear around the disk of the New Moon. This eclipse will only be visible by small percentage of the population in southern South America, Antarctica and part of South Africa This solar eclipse instills the first eclipse in the sign of Aquarius at the 28th degree, where this eclipse takes place, shows something of a preview of the upcoming nodal (north) ingress into the sign of Aquarius in July.
It will also set the stage for a series of solar eclipses that will get longer in duration until January 2028. This eclipse takes place near the North Node of the Moon. That means, this eclipse is about the welcoming of new ideas, insights, cosmic wisdom and an awakening t something beyond where we may be rooted in ourselves. This eclipse falls just three days prior to the Saturn-Neptune conjunction, which may feel like a pre-cursor to the that conjunction but also to upcoming events in July 2026 and after.
The degree of this eclipse (28°) also draws us in the early stage of metaphorically clearing our eyes to see what may lie in the not-to-distant future. The old ways are dissolving away, and a new structure wants to be built.
